STEAM104: After School: Basic Electronics (Bay Area Only)

TechShop’s hands-on STEAM programming is now available after school. Participants are immersed in a creative environment that covers science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, and across every subject, they learn how to approach life as problem solvers.

Dive into the blinking, beeping, programmable world of electronics in this elemental course that spans over 8 weeks of after-school sessions. After an introductory primer that lays the groundwork for electricity, circuits, soldering, and using multimeters via mini-project builds, students explore circuit design, learn about microcontrollers, and get started with the Arduino. Students will also learn to work with the laser cutters.

This Basic Electronics class is a foundational class that gives young innovator the tools to excel in more advanced electronics courses.

This program meets for 2-hour sessions, 2 days a week, for 8 weeks. Please arrive 10 minutes early on your first day so you can complete registration.
