TXL1218: Advanced Sewing - Circle Skirt

Tired of your current wardrobe? Come in and make your own custom circle skirt!

In this workshop, you will learn how to sew a custom fit (not to mention, adorable) circle skirt. This is the perfect time to try out your sewing skills on something fun, functional and fashionable!

As this is a custom garment, each student will want to bring the following:
  • 2 yards fabric (Once you register for the workshop, we'll email you a handy "How to pick the right kind of fabric" handout)

  • Basic thread in a preferred color

  • 1”-wide non-roll elastic. Measure around your waist and add 4” (Get 1-1/4” wide if you are a size 22+ or if sweater material is super heavy)

  • Leggings are recommended so that you don't have to hit the TechShop restroom every time you need to try the garment on for fit and proper sizing while you're pinning
Feel free to bring your own sewing kit if you like (scissors, seam ripper, pins) but TechShop will otherwise supply these materials.
