TXL111: Industrial Sewing Machines (Walking Foot, Straight Stitch, Serger) - SBU

In this Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class, learn to use the Juki straight (or single) stitch , walking foot, and serger industrial sewing machines. Practice methods of speed control and accuracy. Operate the presser foot with a knee lever and enjoy continuous bobbin winding. Then get to know the walking foot industrial sewing machine.

This powerful machine is perfect for working with heavyweight materials such as leather, canvas, or multiple layers of fabric. Experience the walking foot advantage as it moves both the top and bottom of the fabric to keep the fabric from shifting. Lastly, learn the Juki four-thread industrial serger sewing machine. Get hands-on serger experience using overlock stitching to create high quality soft-feeling seams and fine rolled hems.

Take advantage of this powerful machine to sew and hem heavy, layered materials like canvas and leather. Expect to increase productivity after learning these efficient machines and start sewing like a pro!

Project: Canvas work apron
