TechShop DC-Arlington has an immediate need for a full time sales professional to sell companies, universities and foundations on the benefits of TechShop solutions for institutions, including team building events, strategy workshops, staff memberships and employee skills training.
As Senior Sales Account Manager at TechShop DC-Arlington, you will lead the corporate, university and government sales program for TechShop's eighth and newest open access DIY workshop and prototyping studio serving the maker community in the Greater DC area.
The ideal candidate will have experience successfully building relationships with key decision makers in corporations, foundations, agencies and universities; writing cogent, effective proposals; and negotiating deals for commercial services. Knowledge of the maker movement will be a huge advantage. Specifically, you should have an excellent sense for the role of maker spaces in driving innovation and fueling the growth of new companies and jobs in America; and STEM learning initiatives. You will leverage your experience and relationships with foundations, companies, universities, agencies and civic groups to sell volume memberships, educational programs, sponsorships, and events like team building events and workshops.
We open March 29, 2014, so we're looking for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves immediately.
|• 2-4 years of B2B sales experience|
• Experience with corporate events, incentive travel and reward programs, conference planning and sales, or hospitality services strongly preferred
• Extensive experience in sales pipeline management and reporting
• Razor-sharp sales presentation, proposal writing and communication technique
• Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
