The TechShop Open House is your chance to tour the TechShop facilities, meet other TechShop members and the TechShop staff, and take advantage of the TechShop Maker Faire 2009 Membership Specials before they are all sold.
 Meet Bob Johansen. Bob is a Distinguished Fellow at Institute for the Future, and author of his new book "Leaders Make the Future: Ten New Leadership Skills for an Uncertain World".
Bob will present an overview of the IFTF Ten-Year Forecast, with video clips and artifacts from the future to bring the forecast to life. He will also draw out those future leadership skills that are most important for "makers" to consider and how these skills might be applied to derive more value from the TechShop community. All participants will get the chance to do a self-rating of their own future leadership skills.
Bring a copy of Bob's book "Leaders Make the Future" with you (or buy one at TechShop on the day of the event) so you can follow along with the map inside the cover, and to have Bob sign your copy.
