WKS606: Make a Mask: Part One
Class Number 1005-39600

Have you ever wanted to make your own custom latex mask instead of relying on overpriced, unimaginative masks online? Now you can.

In this Special Effects Workshop Series course, you will learn all the steps to making your very own high-quality, professional-grade latex mask! Over the course of this two-part workshop, you will sculpt, mold, cast, and paint your mask. You'll be ready to rock the costume competitions this Halloween!

Please note that this workshop is divided into two sessions. If you cannot make a second session, this class will run more than once so you can join up then to finish your mask.

In Part One, we will cover mask design theory and sculpting techniques with a live sculpting demo. You will receive a sculpting armature, clay, and a sculpting tool and will have until the next session to complete your sculpt. In Part Two, we will mold your sculpture and cast up a copy in professional-grade mask latex. Finally, you'll get to do a custom paint job with guidance from our experienced instructor! This is the chance to let your imagination run wild and to make something truly awesome and unique that you can use for seasons to come!
