MiTi003: Plasma Cut Flowers
Class Number 931-35425

Make your own decorative flower out of steel using a plasma cutter! In this workshop, you will design your flower petal shapes on a sheet of steel and use the plasma cutter to cut your design straight out of metal! You can then work with the metal to create curves in your petals. Once the "petals" are ready, you'll attach them to a metal "stem" and spot weld them together. You can even add a touch of copper wire to give your flower some extra flair. This is a flower that will never, ever wilt (although it may rust)!

You will walk away from this workshop with your very own handmade metal flower to use as decoration in your garden, office or home.
This Make-it, Take-it workshop is open to both members and non-members of TechShop.

Note: This is not a Safety and Basic Usage class. To learn more about plasma cutting or welding, check out our MIG Welding SBU class, offered regularly.
