WKS635: Beer - Advanced Brewing Techniques

This is a hands-on introduction to all-grain brewing.

Class participants will make 5.5 gallons of wort without using any malt extracts. Topics that we will cover include mashing, lautering, and sparging theory/practice; recipe formulation and software; advanced fermentation techniques; home mash tun design and construction; and yeast harvest/culture techniques.

This class is open to all skill levels; some brewing experience is preferred but not required. Students younger than 21 must be accompanied by an enrolled adult. Refreshments will be provided.
