Class Number 856-31635
Waspmote is an open source wireless sensor platform specially focused on the implementation of low power consumption modes to allow sensor nodes (called "motes") to be completely autonomous and battery powered, offering a variable lifetime between one and five years, depending on the duty cycle and the radio used.
This workshop includes examples of how to use Waspmote with an events sensor board to detect presence through the PIR sensor, temperature, light or liquid presence, as well as its embedded accelerometer or wireless communication through 802.15.4.
Please bring the following equipment: an Arduino UNO, a Raspberry Pi, and a laptop with the latest Arduino IDE.
