STEAM1853: Workshop - Soldering: Blinky Kit

Learn how to use solder and a soldering iron to make a blinky kit project as well as learn how to solder electronic "through-hole" components for electronic printed circuit board assembly (PCBs).
Participants will learn basic solder and flux types, safe soldering practices, and soldering iron maintenance. They will learn to de-solder using various techniques, including a "solder sucker" tool or solder braid.
Age: Kids ages 8–16
Project: This fun kit is perfect for getting hands-on experience creating electronics projects. PCB and all electronics parts are included in the kit.
Equipment Access: Soldering irons
Parents are not required to stay after checking their student(s) into class.
Passing this class is a requirement to use this equipment at TechShop
