WKS1235: Powder Coated Jewelry
Class Number 1531-106533
Make colorful and unique jewelry—including necklace, bracelet or earrings for yourself or a gift!
In this workshop, you'll form several jewelry items and then finish them with vibrant powder coating. Powder coating is more durable than paint, and uses a simple application process that is then baked to a hard finish. You’ll also be able to explore the sandblaster which cleans metal, wood, glass, plastics (almost any material that is rigid). Students who take this class will walk away with several finished pieces of jewelry sure to turn heads.
Because of possible shock (high voltage, low amperage) with a powder coating gun, students with a pacemaker, or any voltage-sensitive medical equipment are not permitted to take this workshop or use the equipment.
Once you have taken and successfully passed this class, you will be cleared to use the sandblasting cabinet, powder coating gun, powder spray booth, and powder coating oven,
