Learn how to use the laser cutter’s rotary attachment in this Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class. The rotary attachment allows laser etching on cylindrical objects such as wine glasses, beer mugs, flashlights, bottles, and even drumsticks. Imagine the possibilities!

Project: Etch a design into a drinking glass

Prerequisite: Successful completion of LAS103 - Laser Cutting and Etching SBU - ULS prior to taking this class

Equipment access: Laser engraver rotary attachment

Minimum age: 12 years

Supervision requirements: During class, all students 8–12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also enrolled in the class.

When using the laser cutter outside of class time, members 8–12 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian who has passed the SBU.

Safety: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.

Passing this class is a requirement to use this equipment at TechShop
