Learn the basics of wood veneering with a hands on project of creating a 4 way book matched burl veneer panel.

Preparation of and working with veneers.
Gluing and Post gluing operations.
Students will create an approximate 20" square panel veneered with 4 way book matched burl that can subsequently be used for a table top or door panel.
Class will be three separate sessions on three consecutive days.
First session, Thursday at 7:00pm, is two hours covering a lecture on veneers and using veneers, followed by a hands on flattening veneer using a vacuum bag.
Second session, Friday at 7:00pm, is three hours long consisting of layout, cutting, taping and gluing. Parts will be clamped using a vacuum bag.
Third session, Saturday at 9:30am, is an hour long of post gluing operations and clean up.
