TechShop and Autodesk are very excited to extend our partnership by enabling all TechShop members to learn how to use the Autodesk Inventor Professional Suite – for free.
The Possibilities Are Endless.
Use Autodesk Inventor to design wood furniture, a sheet metal tool box, bicycle parts, metal sculptures, mechanical assemblies, or whatever else you can imagine. Then use TechShop's advanced machines like the Tormach CNC mill, ShopBot CNC router, Epilog laser cutters, plasma cutters or our wood and metal shops to build it. Or use our printers from 3D-Systems to simply print it as a precise 3D model! How the Program Works.
TechShop is running many Inventor classes and workshops every week. These single-session classes are custom designed to focus primarily on the core Inventor concepts and design methods. All of them are open to any TechShop member – they are not available to the general public. Reservations will be made using our standard system. You must be a member in good standing (paid through the month you are taking the class) to reserve a seat, as well as at the time you take the class. In addition, Autodesk is offering every TechShop member a free 6-month license to use the entire Autodesk Inventor Professional Suite on your own computer (we can provide guidance on what specifications must be met to run the software well). So you can learn on your own time, at home or anywhere with the right computer. At the end of the 6 months, you can use TechShop's high power 12-core, 12GB memory, nVidia-graphics-powered workstations to create your designs!
