Sunday, 6/9/2013
12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
TechShop Pittsburgh

Shop Talk happens at TechShop Pittsburgh the second Sunday of every month and features a guest speaker. We welcome both members and non-members.

Featured Presentation: Running a Successful Kickstarter Campaign

Speaker: Devin Montgomery

Learn how to successfully turn a TechShop project into a commercial product. This workshop will guide you through the steps necessary to run a successful Kickstarter campaign. Kickstarter is a website that has facilitated crowd-funding of over 42,000 projects since 2009. Kickstarter is an invaluable resource for inventors, artists and makers of all disciplines to get their projects off the ground and into the world.

Devin Montgomery created The Backcountry Boiler, the world's first practical, ultralight chimney kettle. The Backcountry Boiler is one of Pittsburgh's top grossing crowdfunding projects, and is now full-time business. Learn more at http://www.theboilerwerks.com/.

This is a free event hosted by TechShop Pittsburgh and is not affiliated with any other groups or companies. Visitors to the shop must sign waivers to enter the shop. Questions? Please call (412) 345-7182. RSVP at our Meetup page!
